Both! Made from oils, plastics will have a whitish discolouration as the oils degrade and dry out. On new plastics and trims, Ecocoat Trim, the ceramic coating for trims and plastics, work to seal and lock in the oils to prevent it from degrading faster. Added protection against UV, the surface life is extends for at least 2 years.

On degraded plastics, the oils have deteriorated. Using APC cleaners such as Ecoclean Multi or acid based cleaners will only worsen the situation by pulling out more oils, making the surface whiter. Cleaner, but whiter.

Ecocoat Trim does wonders restoring the colour and protecting the surface for up to 2 years! Best maintained with Ecoclean Dash regularly too!

And as Ecocoat Trim is clear, it protects every plastic colour, including black.
