Ecocoat Quartz

Ecocoat Quartz is a professional-grade, single-layer 9H ceramic coating that combines polysiloxane chemistry with graphene reinforcement.

Quartz delivers an ultra-slick gloss and durable protection from a single layer, without the complexity of multi-layer systems. Graphene ∞ reinforcement improves its durability and surface slip.

Graphene reinforcement gives Quartz 9H hardness and an ultra-slick surface, with a 9° cap slip angle and a 110° water contact angle (sessile drop, distilled water, cured coating). Water and contaminants slide off readily, so the coating needs maintenance less often. Mineral deposits are less likely to etch or bond to the surface.

What’s improved in Graphene ∞

Measured results from standardised test methods, against the previous formulation:

• Single layer: a simplified workflow
• Scrub resistance (ASTM D2486): more than 120,000 cycles, up from 2,000 (a 60x improvement)
• Cap slip angle: 9°, down from 13° (a 30% smoother surface)
• Water drop slip angle: 16.6°, down from 24° (31% more hydrophobic surface)
• Waterspot resistance: 2x the previous formulation (internal comparative test: mineral water drop, standardised substrate, 25 °C, 48h exposure)
• Chemical challenge (ASTM D1308): 60 minutes of resistance against strong alkaline, acid and solvent, up from 1 minute

Quartz is non-flammable, with no dangerous goods classification, so it is safe for indoor installation environments.

Quartz is tested to ASTM D2486 and ASTM D1308 standards, with measured results from standardised test methods. The waterspot result comes from an internal comparative test.
