IGL coating packages and prices
Prices below are ranges. The low end is for Standard vehicles (small cars, hatchbacks, coupes and sedans). The high end is for XL vehicles (large SUVs, 4x4s, MPVs and vans). Large vehicles (crossovers and normal-size SUVs) sit in between.

What affects the price
- Vehicle size. Standard, Large and XL vehicles are priced differently within each package.
- Coating package. A higher tier means a longer warranty and a higher price. Poly has a 1-year warranty, Kenzo 7 years.
- Paint condition and correction. Every package includes single-stage paint correction, including normal paint-watermark correction. Two-stage correction and severe-defect correction are priced separately; see the prices below.
- Surfaces covered. Packages already include exterior glass, all four visible wheel faces (wheels stay on the car), exterior trim and headlights. Wheel removal with barrel coating is priced separately; see below.
- Interior. Packages include basic interior cleaning only. Interior coating is not included. Heavy interior stains, mould, pet hair and extraction work are priced separately; see below.
What your price includes
The RM2,200–RM4,800 covers the job from inspection to handover.
1. Inspection, about 15 minutes. The inspection settles two things:
- Your vehicle size category (Standard, Large or XL), and any corrective work, are confirmed after inspection.
- Whether your paint is suitable for coating. Light marring on the paint is correctable by the single-stage paint correction in the package. Paint that is cracked, peeling or oxidised cannot be coated.
2. The coating job. Every package includes:
- Detailed wash and paint decontamination
- Single-stage paint correction, including normal paint-watermark correction
- Your chosen IGL paint coating, with a registered warranty period
- Exterior-glass preparation with Glass+, and Window coating
- Coating on all four visible wheel faces, with the wheels staying installed
- Exterior trim coating
- Headlight coating
- Basic interior cleaning (interior coating is not included)
3. How it is applied.
- The coating is applied following its technical data sheet (TDS) for the application steps, at a temperature between 20 C and 30 C and humidity between 40% and 70%.
- Your coating is applied by a trained technician. Our technicians are trained by IGL HQ's master trainer.
- The work is done in bays that use a dual-filtration deionised-water system, which minimises water spots.
- A supervisor performs a quality check.
- All four packages use Graphene Infinite, IGL's own graphene dispersion, which draws on the ProShield+™ Lumina graphene additive from PETRONAS.
4. Handover. You receive a completed car and do a walk-around to inspect it. You also take home your physical warranty certificate. Free collection and delivery anywhere in the Klang Valley is included; see below.
Poly only: one free maintenance check-up. Poly packages booked at the IGL Experience Centre include one free maintenance check-up at the end of year 1, within 60 days before or after the 12-month anniversary. It is the same check-up as paid maintenance on other coatings, which costs RM300 (Standard), RM350 (Large) or RM400 (XL). It is a check-up only: it does not extend the 1-year Poly warranty.
Not part of the coating price:
- Maintenance visits on Quartz, Arcane and Kenzo. Paid at each visit, RM300 for Standard, RM350 for Large, RM400 for XL. Poly has no paid visit; its one check-up is described above. See the cost per year below.
- Dry-ice cleaning. Engine-bay dry-ice cleaning is a separate service, from RM350.
- Corrective and interior work listed in the next section.
Corrective and interior work, priced separately
Some jobs are not part of the coating packages. IGL sells these as standalone services, with their own prices. As with coating, the low end is for Standard vehicles and the high end for XL. Large sits in between.

Is ceramic coating worth it? The cost per year
A coating's price looks different when you divide it by its warranty years, and it looks different again once maintenance is counted. For illustration only, the cost per year is:
(coating price + maintenance visits x maintenance price) / warranty years
The low end uses Standard-size prices (maintenance RM300 a visit). The high end uses XL prices (maintenance RM400 a visit). The maintenance price stays the same every year. Figures are rounded to the nearest RM.

Read this as arithmetic, not a promise of how long your paint will stay protected. Three things to keep in mind:
- Maintenance is a visit at the end of each year, and it is counted in the cost per year above. Poly has no paid maintenance visit (see the note under the table). Quartz needs 2 visits, Arcane 4 and Kenzo 6. To keep your warranty valid, each visit must fall within 60 days before or after the 12-month anniversary of the coating date. It costs RM300 for Standard vehicles, RM350 for Large and RM400 for XL, the same every year.
- The warranty covers verified premature coating failure. It does not cover scratches, swirl marks, stone chips, water-spot etching, bird-dropping damage, accidents, repainting, improper washing or neglected contamination.
How to compare ceramic coating quotes
A headline price only tells you part of the job. Ask each shop the same questions, and ask for the answers in writing:
- Which coating, and how many years is the warranty? A tier name tells you little. The number of warranty years and the product name tell you more.
- What does the warranty cover, and what does it exclude? Ask to see the exclusions, not only the number of years. Ours are listed above.
- Is annual maintenance required, and what does it cost? At IGL it is required for Quartz, Arcane and Kenzo, and the price is published by vehicle size.
- How much paint correction is included? Single-stage, two-stage and severe-defect correction are different jobs at different prices.
- Which surfaces are covered? Glass, wheel faces, trim and headlights should be listed one by one.
- Is interior coating included? At IGL it is not.
- How many days will the car be in the shop? And do you have to make two trips to drop it off and collect it?
Put the answers side by side and divide by the warranty years. That comparison is more useful than the headline price.

Why is ceramic coating expensive?
Because the price covers a full job, not a bottle of product. At IGL that means an inspection, a detailed wash and decontamination, single-stage paint correction, the coating itself, glass, wheel faces, trim and headlights, a supervisor's quality check, a registered warranty period, and 2-3 days of the car occupying a bay.
How much does ceramic coating cost per year?
For illustration, add the coating price to the maintenance visits over the warranty period and divide by the warranty years. Poly (1 year, no paid maintenance visits) is RM2,200–RM3,200 a year; at the IGL Experience Centre, its one free check-up does not change that figure. Quartz (3 years, 2 visits) is about RM1,083–RM1,483, Arcane (5 years, 4 visits) RM820–RM1,140 and Kenzo (7 years, 6 visits) about RM757–RM1,029. Low ends use Standard prices with RM300 maintenance; high ends use XL prices with RM400 maintenance.
How much is IGL Shield?
IGL Shield, the coating over existing PPF, is RM1,500 for Standard vehicles up to RM2,000 for XL.
How much does the annual maintenance cost?
On Quartz, Arcane and Kenzo, maintenance costs RM300 for Standard vehicles, RM350 for Large and RM400 for XL, the same every year. It includes a detail wash, basic interior detailing, paint-watermark correction, tar removal, normal Poly coating repair and a Premier top-up. It must be done within 60 days before or after each 12-month anniversary to keep the warranty valid. Poly has no paid maintenance visit: Poly packages booked at the IGL Experience Centre include one free maintenance check-up at the end of year 1. It is the same check-up as paid maintenance, within the same 60-day window, and it does not extend the 1-year warranty.
How long does the inspection take?
About 15 minutes. It confirms your vehicle size category and whether your paint is suitable for coating. Light marring is correctable by single-stage paint correction. Cracked, peeling or oxidised paint cannot be coated.
Does the price include collection from my home?
Yes. Free collection and delivery is available anywhere in the Klang Valley.
Do you coat SUVs, EVs and motorcycles?
Yes. IGL coats all vehicle types, including EVs, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and fleets. Final vehicle category and corrective-work requirements are confirmed after inspection.
